Who we are

Korisuya 小栗鼠屋 (literally the "Little Squirrel Store") is the first store dedicated to the production of high quality shuriken of various ryu, many of which are impossible to find even in Japan. All of our shuriken are made to exacting specifications recorded in antique documents and, when possible, based off of surviving examples of shuriken obtained from the ryu themselves. The owner of Korisuya has been involved in martial arts for almost 23 years, a Bujinkan Budo Taijutsu student since 2001, and is well versed in the design and use of Japanese weapons, specifically shuriken. We also strive to offer a wide variety of antique books ( 古典 koten), ninja tools (忍具 ningu), hidden weapons (隠し武器 kakushi buki) and even Japanese scrolls (巻物 makimono) which are impossible to find outside of Japan. We are curently moving into even more diverse areas of Japanese culture including offerings of religious items for Buddhist and Shinto altars, clothing, and even housewares and tools. Korisuya will become your one stop shop for anything Japanese and if you don't see it e-mail us and we will have someone ship it over from Japan.

Production information: Many of the items listed on this website are of custom nature and need to be manufactured after the placement of the order. The time for completion of orders varies greatly depending on complexity and workload. The customer has the option of receiving items as completed if requested.

The buyer expressly agrees to indemnify and hold harmless Seller for any and all claims resulting directly or indirectly from the purchase, ownership, or use. You must be at least 18 years old to purchase any edged item. For hygeinic reasons we do not accept returns on footwear. Sale of certain items require membership in the Bujinkan, as well as letters of recommendation by a shihan. These rules are set by Japan and are not negotiable. We reserve the right to cancel sales to members of organizations we feel are less than reputable.
