Cheness Kurome Shobu Zukuri Katana $249.99
Constructed of the 9260TH spring steel, this Shobu-Zukuri katana is the more popular and commonly seen varient. The shinogi (ridgeline) of this sword runs just short of the tip by a few millimeters. This configuration results in a blade-like tip for cutting.

Cheness Shosen Katana $249.99
The "Shosen" (First Battle) katana is a trial run katana using our newest design concept of a double bo-hi. It is hoped that this configuration will have a better weight distribution for use during iaido katas or tameshigiri practices. This sword is sharpened to allow for cutting exercises. This trial run is intended to determine the feasibility of the design in iaido applications and to generate feedbacks in order to further refine the design for subsequent runs if it is determined to be acceptable.

Cheness Tenchi Katana $279.99
The Tenchi blade body is a 9260 silicon alloy carbon spring steel. It is handsomely finished with a cast brass Musashi Double Ring tsuba that is thicker than the standard steel tsubas with an antiqued finish. This sword has a heftier and more antiqued look and feel than other steel fitted blades.

Cheness Kaze Katana $299.99
The Kaze (Wind) is the result of many popular requests for a clay tempered (hardened) blade using our 9260 Silicon Alloy Spring Steel. The blade body of the Kaze is a hand clayed and differentially heat treated 9260 silicon carbon spring steel. It is finished with a replica of an antique blackened cast steel tsuba submitted to us. This steel is stronger than our Kanbai katana, but does not have the same resiliency of the through hardened 9260. The gain from the clay hardening is that the blade has a smooth and elegant natural hamon
