Cheness Swords
Cheness Shirasaya Series
Shirasaya translates to "White Scabbard" literally. These are swords mounted in a plain wooden scabbard and handle. This type of mounting is typically for storage, transport, or display only. Occassionally, they are used as disguised weapons and had been made famous by Japanese gangs or Yakuzas in movies.
Shirasayas are meant to allow the sword to breath through the scabbard, so it should never be painted or lacquered. We made ours available as a means to safely transport the bare blades.
